Editorial
Style
Although our readers are motivated and seek knowledge, they
are often overloaded with information from many sources.
Therefore, they want articles that are concise, to the
point and offer simple yet effective solutions or valuable
insights. Humor, when appropriate, as well as skillfully
written prose are also appreciated as they make for a
pleasant reading experience.
We are especially looking for acknowledged experts in the
areas of motivation, training, productivity, leadership,
marketing and technology.
Articles accepted for publication in CKN typically offer:
- A
simple and usable framework for analyzing problems or
creating solutions
- A
list of recommended actions
- A
list of strategic issues to consider regarding an
important challenge
- How-I-did-it
stories
- Valuable
insights that helps readers to think originally and
productively about motivation, leadership, training,
productivity, marketing and technology
- Tips
and ideas on how to use information, knowledge, social
networks, technologies, resources, etc. to better execute
one's career plan
Our readers are not interested in generalities or abstract
frameworks that have little to do with their professional
development and career advancement. They want concrete,
actionable ideas, information and knowledge.
We do not publish "advertorials" or articles
reviewing or promoting products or services. We also do not
publish articles written for the sole purpose of promoting
the author's expertise to potential prospects. We want
articles written FOR our readers, with their career
information needs in mind. If readers receive valuable
information from an expert writer, he/she will then succeed
in establishing his/her expertise in a credible and
professional manner. As a result, he/she will gain
professionally and financially.
Although CKN targets very intelligent and experienced
professionals and managers who have 10 to 30 years of
experience, we offer information in a very simple, concise
and accessible format. Therefore, we are looking for
contributors who can write simply and clearly, without using
academic terms or technical jargon.
Our readers can be located anywhere in the world. Therefore,
articles should not focus on any one country or refer to
cultural trends or phenomena that are specific to any one
country.
Optimum length for regular articles is 500 words. A feature
article can be 800 words while a short article can be 300
words. Footnotes are not necessary, however, we like to
accompany articles with a resource box where applicable.

How to Submit
We do not, at this time, pay contributors, however we do
mention the email address, blog and website of authors at
the end of articles.
We require your permission to publish the article

newsletter.
Please query first by using the writers' form with an outline of your proposed

already been published elsewhere. We appreciate knowing
where your article has been published in the past.
We prefer to correspond with contributors via email; such
queries are usually responded to within five business days.
Prospective contributors should read at least 5 articles on
the portal to develop a "feel" for the kind of
articles we are looking for.
Once accepted for publication, articles must be submitted by

provided for this purpose. Your article will be edited for
spelling, punctuation, grammar, clarity, space and
